Dad’s Letterman Jacket

One of the first pieces that I made was inspired by an 80’s themed fundraiser at Glass Axis and my dad. I had recently found his high school varsity jacket in the back of a closet, so I decided to surprise him by recreating it on a jean jacket. Although I had no idea what I was doing, the individually cut and fused pieces of glass were easily able to be glued to the jacket. The glass pieces were arranged in patterns to replicate the striped collar, “H” varsity letter, and “86” in the bottom corner.
